Maria Sigma, an award-winning textile designer who was recently the inaugural artist-maker-in-residence at Hauser & Wirth in Somerset, uses the ancient craft of weaving to create ethical contemporary textiles. She uses undyed natural fibres from sustainable sources and aims for a 'zero waste' product. Her new collection, 'Apricity' (which means 'the warmth of the winter sun'), showcases one of her bespoke patterns, the Ariadne diamond, which results in a richly textured weave
